Hi I’m Nav, the face behind all the artwork you see here. I was born in Sri Lanka but have spent the vast majority of my life living in Melbourne, a place that’s shaped not only who I am, but also the way I see the world. My career path initially began in healthcare, working as a registered nurse. While I loved caring for people, I eventually realised that it no longer resonated with me, that my calling lay elsewhere. Something was missing.
That “something” had actually been with me all along, my love for art. My passion for pet portraiture began in high school, when I created a piece for my Year 12 final. Observing my enthusiasm, friends and family encouraged me to pursue this path further, but it wasn’t until my university years that I truly listened.
In 2019 I took the leap and began taking my art seriously. Since then, what started as a personal hobby has grown into a business that allows me to connect with people in a deeply meaningful way. I especially love gifting my friends and family with art I’ve created as there is something truly amazing about capturing a moment, a personality, or a bond in a way that words never could.
For me, every portrait is more than just a picture. It’s a connection, a nostalgic memory, and a little piece of love preserved forever.
